Few Djs in the business display the versatility that 28-year-old Cleveland born and bred Dj K-Nyce does. A product of a musically diverse household, K-Nyce recalls hearing everything from Elton John to Run DMC blasting thru his father’s stereo as a child. That wide range of music still has an impact on K-Nyce and is evidenced by his sets. Whether it’s a Hip-Hop or Top40 night K-Nyce displays an unrivaled passion and creativity in his sets that is sure to take party goers on a ride. Cleveland legend Mick Boogie was quoted as saying “Someone had to pick up the slack playing “real music” when I left…and that person is Dj K-Nyce”.

K-Nyce’s hard work and determination has recently paid off becoming the newest member of the Cleveland Radio One family and becoming the markets first ever “Cluster Dj.” Holding down mixer positions for adult contemporary station 93.1 WZAK & Hip-Hop & RnB station 107.9 WENZ is all in a weeks work for K-Nyce. “Spinning live on air is a dream come true for me, but spinning Funk & Soul as well as Hip-Hop & RnB is like having my cake and eating it too” says K-Nyce. Catching K-Nyce in the club is also very easy, as he holds down residencies in all of Cleveland’s hottest nightspots spinning everything from Hip-Hop to House.

In 2008 K-Nyce decided to expand his vision even further and formed the marketing and promotions company “The Varsity Squad”. Calling upon the help of long time friend Dj Step One and later Dj Corey Grand the Varsity Squad created the legendary Monthly Cleveland Party entitled “The Potluck” which achieved cult status in a very short amount of time. “The Potluck is a party that is all about the music, we put away all pretenses and play whatever we want, people are encouraged to do whatever they want…stand on something, swing from something….it’s whatever.” Says K-Nyce.

When asked whats next K-Nyce replies “Im a student of the art form, I take dj’ing very seriously and I never stop working to be better. I am working very hard to take my brand beyond the mid-west thru club bookings and eventually syndication of my mix shows.” If the last few years of K-Nyce’s dedication and hard work are any indicator look for the name “K-Nyce” to be synonymous with a good time!
