Byron Nemeth, a visionary guitarist cut from the same fabric as Joe Satriani and Steve Vai, began his career on the Northeast Ohio music scene during the 1980s and has been on the forefront of Cleveland’s influential progressive rock scene since the 1990s.  The current manifestation of Byron Nemeth Group is a truly exceptional musical collaboration that is the culmination of Byron’s artistic journey from his tenure in well-known Cleveland bands such as Sacred Heart, Amon-Ra, Prodigy, and Electro-Motive-Force.

After his commissioned performance as first guitar with Richard Hendrickson’s rock opera “Ozone Hour” in 1997, Byron made the decision to move forward with his solo career.  In 1999, he released the EP “Byron Nemeth Group” with four songs including,  “Millennium Machine” and “Two Moon Sky.”  Byron exercised his abilities as a multi-instrumentalist and producer with his next release “2000”, where he played all instruments and produced each track.  2000 was so well received that he was given the opportunity to play on the Japanese release of the tribute album “Warmth in the Wilderness” in honor of Jason Becker; Byron performed “It’s Showtime” to honor Becker.

Byron and Byron Nemeth Group

After the album 2000, Byron put together a new manifestation of Byron Nemeth Group (BNG) and composed, recorded, and produced “100 Worlds.”  This was his first album to mastered by the legendary engineer Nick Webb at Abbey Road Studios.  In 2007, BNG released their most critically acclaimed album to date: The Force Within.  Composed, recorded, and produced at Byron’s Cleveland studios, Pacifica Studios, The Force Within was again mastered at Abbey Road Studios and was one of Nick Webb’s final projects before retirement.

Throughout his career Byron has opened for such notable bands/artists such as Warrant, Winger, Dream Theater, Rick Emmett from Triumph, Wrathchild America, Vicious Rumors with Vinnie Moore, Helix, Keel with Mark Ferrari, David Chastain, Tony Mc Alpine, Yes, Black Label Society with Zakk Wylde and Proto-Kaw featuring Kerry Livgren from the original Kansas line-up.  Most recently, BNG has opened for Michael Schenker Group and legendary progressive rock band, Fates Warning.

Endorsements
While both Byron and BNG have opened for many notable bands travelling through Cleveland, Byron’s artistry as a guitarist and the exceptional musicianship and compositional force of the band BNG has not gone unnoticed at the national level.  BNG has performed at the NAMM convention in January 2009 and have been booked to return for a repeat performance in 2010.  Byron is currently endorsed by Paul Reed Smith guitars and is on call as a master instructor for PRS master class workshops.  Always a champion of the Cleveland music scene, Byron is also endorsed by GRABBIT guitar stands and is often seen around the Northeast Ohio region at various promotional events for GRABBIT.
